Female. 24. Video editor obsessed with the genius that is BBC and an amount of sweets (both food and the Bones character) that's probably unhealthy for me. Anime & manga. Doctor Who. Sherlock. Castle. Merlin. Bones. Harry Potter. Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit. The Beatles. CATS. Gaming (PC and DS mostly). Movies and books, movies and books! {Darryl Curtis FTW.}

Don't be afraid to send me an ask, anon or not. I love chatting with anyone.

So I’m going to rant promotion style for a moment. Skip it if you like, but good lord, the comic and the artist and the art are absolutely gorgeous and my new calendar is making me salivate, so I figured it was worth a post, promo or not.

This is my brand spankin’ new Lackadaisy calendar.
Folks, there is a comic out there that has cat-form gangsters, flappers, stuff-shirts, everything FROM THE 20s. The characters are incredibly unique, adorable, and brilliant, and the lingo and art is so spot on, it kind of blows my mind. Where can you read this amazing piece of genius, you ask? http://lackadaisycats.com/ Tracy J. Butler, she’s fantastic.
If you love it (I absorbed the whole thing in one night) and want the calendar (it has a brilliant author’s note and a really cool 20s jive dictionary on the second to last page and it’s just really, really pretty), please by all means, go get one. This artist deserves all the love and exposure she can possibly get. http://www.4de.com/product_details.php?pid=107
It’s $13.95, which to me is excellent since most calendars sold online hit $20 in a heartbeat. Do it, love it, or ignore this if you need to, but if you’re looking for an entertaining, unique new comic to read or just pretty art to look at, I recommend checking the links out pronto. =) That is all.
We now return you to my regular spamming of LOTR/Hobbit bliss.
